We moved into our first house about 2.5 yeas ago and have been chipping away day by day to make this house a home! Almost nothing is complete to date, but here is a guide to each room and progress will be updated here in real time.
Here is the exterior of our home. It’s a corner lot, so you can see the side and front pretty clear. We plan on doing some prettier landscaping at some point! Also we will be completely repainting all the blueish-grey to a warm white, and the wood panels to a deep rich, almost black color. The only change we really made so far was painting the screen door fram black (instead of white) and then painting the mailbox with the same spray paint.
The master bedroom is one of our closer-to-complete rooms! A lot of paint, and rearranging later, we landed here with a very short to do list to make it complete. At least for now.
The foyer is very much a work in progress! When you enter the house, it’s through the turret, which leads to some tricky design decisions in our future!
The mudroom was the first room we finished, and I still love it! One day we will be removing it to use that space as part of an outdoor room, but for now it’s a great view from the kitchen!
The kitchen is not quite there yet, but this is the progress so far. We need to remove a couple walls, get cabinets, lighting, a farmhouse sink, and a bunch more before we get to claim done on this.
This is the crazy guest room I did. I need to go back and edit it.
The side and back yard need a lot of care and reworking. Maybe in a few years! We need to wrap up in inside first!
