You could say I have been obsessed with trees/the forest since I was a little kid. Heck, I am still trying to talk Joey into living in the woods in an earth home. This week I am letting mushrooms, and trees take over.

Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones, but I feel awfully thankful lately for just about everything. Joey and my best friend threw me a super sweet baby shower a few weeks ago and I have been on the hunt for cute Thank You cards, which I suspect I will need to buy in bulk with Christmas around the corner and our little man’s birth. I am also a bit sappy and throw Thank You cards around randomly to thank (insert person here) for being who they are.
We are hosting 15 people for Christmas this year. I will be exactly 8 months pregnant, needless to say I am in panic mode! I have been scouring the web searching for beautiful and inspiring tablescapes for months now, and have finally landed on some that seem realistic yet beautiful for a huge group. I also threw in a formal and informal table setting guide just to show the crazy difference and how the inspiration images play no mind to those rules. I really love image #3, but my table would get beat up without a placemat. What are you doing for your holiday table settings? Share!
Not So Ugly Laundry Rooms! We are in the middle of designing our *new* and improved laundry room, and I am so excited! There is something about doing laundry I just love. The whole process, and then the results of that perfect smelling warm batch of freshly folded clothes, sheets, and towels. It’s pretty much my porn. Right now our laundry room is more like a stinky gross mess because it’s in our basement, and the basement isn’t finished. We are bringing it one level up before the babe gets here and putting it next to the kitchen. Smart move, eh?
So, I noticed most laundry rooms are kind of ugly, so finding inspiration was pretty hard. These guys are the lease offensive I have found so far. I like a little something about all of them, but am surely looking to be further inspired. Any suggestions?
We went pumpkin picking this past weekend and got the biggest pumpkin ever! I was lurking around the web looking for inspiration, and was surprised to find such beautiful no carve required pumpkin prettiness! We picked three pumpkins total, two kind of small ones in addition to the huge one, and are still deciding exactly what to do. I think a good option is to use the washi tape early in the month on the pumpkin, and then carve or paint later. If we decide to paint, maybe we can keep them around until Thanksgiving?!
