I am Lana. He is Joey. We are both from the south. I am a bit more east and from the land of palm trees and beaches in Boca Raton, FL. He’s from Texas, the Houston part. Joey makes music for movies, TV and film and I (Lana) makes baby and kid’s clothes and have a interior design firm. Today we are newly Nashville, and just bought our second home, a 1930 cottage. Here is where we document everything it takes to make a house home. From decorating, to plumbing, furniture making, and landscaping we encourage you to get hands-on when it comes to home.
We are excited you found us, and hope to get to know you better. Thanks for stopping by.

What does Lana do for a living?
Lana has been a marketing director and consultant for about 15 years in New York. She also has some awards up her sleeve, but they are of the much dorkier kind. Now, she’s a mama, full time blogger and owner of richhippies.co.
What were your dog’s names?
Porkchop VanderSandwich and Rocket VonScience.
I thought you were moving to LA, what happened?
After a lot of planning and discussing, we decided to stay East for now.
Where is your house?
How much did you pay for it?
Less than a million.
How do you have time to work and blog and do all your home projects?
Joey and I work together as a team and are pretty good about working off a to-do list. We collect materials during the week, and even do a few small projects during the week. Then the weekend during the day we try and get as much done as we can. Sometimes we even squeeze in a date night! We thought this was a two year project, now we know it’s more of a five year project.
